Why the route starts here
- Inside the European Union
- A member state since 2007, in the euro area since 1 January 2026, so a Bulgarian counterparty is a European Union counterparty with European Union rules and a single currency.
- Engineering depth
- Precision manufacturing, electronics, software and space hardware, at a scale where a Japanese company is a significant customer rather than one of many.
- Reachable decision makers
- In a country of this size the person who can decide is one or two steps away, which is what makes a ninety-day measurement realistic at all.
- Not every answer is here
- When the right counterparty is German, Italian or Czech, we say so. Bulgaria is where the route is operated from, not a boundary drawn around the search.
- We are not a trade promotion body
- We are not paid to place investment in one country, so a negative answer costs us nothing and is given plainly.
- Scale has to be checked
- Some European capability cannot take a Japanese volume. That is checked during qualification, before anyone travels.

State what you need, the constraint that matters most and the timing. We reply within five working days with whether we can take it and who we would approach. If the answer is no, we say so.
